President/Founding Partner
For the last 12 years, STEVEN ZWEIG has been preparing students for high-stakes tests and helping them master their
states' educational standards. He joined Educational Design, a pioneer in state test preparation, in
1994 as an editorial assistant and worked his way up to Vice President. When Educational Design became
Triumph Learning in 2000, he stayed on as Triumph's Executive Vice President and Publisher. By the time
he left Triumph in 2005 to found Comprehension Publishing, he had published hundreds of test preparation
books and software products for dozens of assessments in 24 states. He has also published supplemental,
remedial, and alternative basal reading, writing, mathematics, and social studies books for grades K
- 12.
As a former government
attorney with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies, Steve finds that educational publishing
provides him with an opportunity to combine his interest in public service, his training in child development,
and his love of the written word.
